Join us at Urban Smith as we celebrate 250 years of America and Virginia’s rich history with a hands-on faux stained glass workshop designed just for homeschool artists.
Students will create a beautiful Virginia-shaped wood design and fill it with red, white, and blue resin and crushed glass to mimic the look of stained glass. This project is both creative and educational, giving kids a chance to explore color, texture, and state pride while learning simple resin techniques in a safe, guided environment.
Each artist will:
Work with a pre-cut wooden Virginia shape
Choose from patriotic crushed glass and pigments
Pour and design their own faux stained glass sections
Leave with a one-of-a-kind keepsake celebrating America’s 250th
